Each summer, my girlfriend and I would collect the things we said to each other — funny observations, little bits of wisdom, dry one-liners and expressions that somehow deserved to be remembered.
We also always carried a tote bag. Through the city, through airports, through village markets in the South of France — filling them with everything that wouldn’t fit in our handbags, and usually far too many bars of soap from Les Baux de Provence.
Eventually, the two things came together and Studio Parole was created to turn those words into something useful, simple and beautifully designed. Strong typography, a black-and-ivory palette, and a point of view.
